# Managing keys

> For server owners: buying the pack, making and revoking keys, and setting up webhooks in game.

Everything is in your server's console: **Dashboard → API → Manage**.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Only the **server owner** can see the API card or do anything on that page. Staff, moderators and admins, even with every permission, can't see or make keys. The server checks this on every action, not just the screen.

## The API Pack

The API only works on servers with the **API Pack**. Buy it once from **Private Servers → My Servers → Packs**, or from the console's **Packs & Sponsor** page. It stays on that server for good.

Without it, the API page only offers the pack. No keys can be made, and the API refuses every request for that server.

## Keys

* **Create:** type a name (the tool it's for), choose whether it can run **Commands**, then press **Create**. Every key can read.
* **Copy it then.** The key is shown once in the blue box. Select it and copy it (Ctrl+C, or press and hold on a phone), then press **Done**. ERA only keeps a hash of it, so nobody can show it to you again.
* **Revoke:** press **Revoke** and then **Tap again** to confirm. Anything using that key stops working straight away.
* Each row shows the key's scopes, its last four characters and when it was last used.
* You can have up to **5 keys**.

> [!TIP]
>
> Give each tool its own key, named after it. Players see the key's name on anything it does, like **\[API] · Sonoran CAD**, and you can cut off one tool without touching the rest.

## Webhook

1. Paste a Discord webhook link or your own `https://` URL into **Webhook** and choose the events.
2. Press **Save**. For your own URL, copy the signing secret shown once and give it to your developer.
3. Press **Send test** to check it works.

The line under the buttons shows where it's sending and whether the last delivery worked. If it says **paused**, deliveries kept failing. Fix the URL and press **Save** to start again.

## If a key leaks

Revoke it right away and make a new one. A leaked key can only do what its scopes allow, on your server alone. It can't touch your Robux, other servers, ranks or the console. Everything it did is in your command logs with the key's name.
